The Green River Lady Pirate volleyball team defeated Whitehorse in three games as the young Pirate team still is working on developing consistent play. The scores were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-14.
A week earlier, Monticello defeated the Pirates in region play 25-9, 25-6 and 25-12. Monticello is a favorite to do well in the 1-A state tournament at the end of October. Green River is hoping to be included in the field.
