Ken passed away on February 9, 2016 in Provo, Utah after a brief struggle with cancer. Ken was born on April 2, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Weldon H. “Shorty” and Helen Robinson Maxfield. He was raised in SLC where he attended school.
The joy of Ken’s life was his family. He was always ready to go four wheeling on the desert, camping at Grassy or just having them around.
Ken is survived by his son Randy and wife Jeanne of Lindon, four grandson’s, Jason and Josh Maxfield of Lindon, Josh and Michael Allred of SLC and four great grandchildren. Also two brothers Rex D. of Huntington and G. Dell and wife Billie of Castle Dale.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Shawnie Allred and his loving companion Mary Ann Carroll.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Courtyard at Jamestown in Provo and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Also the girls at JB’s in Price for their friendship and the ice cream.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. in the Manti Cemetery. Ken will be laid to rest next to his parents and grandparents.
