Floyd Haycock
Floyd Haycock, 75, resident of Helper, passed away Dec. 12, 2003 in Salt Lake City. He was born April 25, 1928 in Spring Glen to Jesse and Ruth Haycock. He married Shirley Ray Richardson in Las Vegas, Nev. and later divorced.
Floyd served in the US Army, 48th Field Artillery in Pusan, Korea during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the LDS Church and had worked most of his life in mining.
Floyd is survived by his children: Ray Haycock of Ogden, Jesse (Jennie) Haycock of Price, brothers and sisters: Jim (Juanita) of Hanna, Wyo.; Thomas Haycock of Kenilworth; Bernice of Ogden; Clyde (Karen) Haycock of Layton; Norma Steele of Price and his former wife Shirley RIchardson Haycock of Spring Glen. Also surviving are six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harry, Joseph, Donald, Bob and an infant brother.
A viewing will be held at the Fausett Mortuary in Price on Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Dec. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Mortuary Chapel with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Mt. View cemetery in Helper under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Cloye Delyle Tucker
Cloye Delyle Tucker, age 60, passed away in Provo following a serious illness on Dec. 12, 2003. He was born Feb. 8, 1943 in Cleveland, to John Ward and Ceceilia Ruth Jensen Tucker.
Cloye married Kolleen Charlesworth. They had a daughter, Loye Tucker, and later divorced. He then married Shirley Duncan and later divorced. He was the owner and operator of Tucker Auto Repair for many years. He also worked in other jobs including construction and ranching. He was an avid sportsman. He belonged to the Eastern Utah Rodeo Association participating in bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding and excelled as an all around great cowboy.
Cloye is survived by his father John W. Tucker of Cleveland; daughter, Loye K. Tucker; and two grandchildren, Bethany Shalae and Keller Shawn, all of Castle Dale; three brothers: John Roy (Delores) Tucker of Huntington; Ward Voy (Clistie) Tucker of Moab, and Ernest DeLoye Tucker of Cleveland. He is also survived by five step children, 13 step grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren.
Friends may call for a visitation at the Cleveland LDS Ward Chapel on Dec. 16 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at the ward chapel at 11 a.m. with interment in the Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale.
Willdean Sump
PRICE/CALIFORNIA – Willdean B. Sump, age 77, passed away Dec. 7, 2003 in California.
He was born July 3, 1926 in Donie, Texas to Fred and Isabelle Bagwell Sump. Married Louise Elsie Kishell. She passed away July 13, 1989.
Former longtime resident of Carbon County prior to moving to California. Served U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survived by stepson, Ronald (Wilma) Stevenson, San Dimas, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Dec. 12, 1 p.m., Price City Cemetery. Family was Mitchell Funeral Home Friday one hour prior to service.
