Emery County didn’t have to wait long this year to welcome their first New Year’s baby, Koree Anne Behling. She was born on Jan. 3 at 4:49 a.m. at the Castleview Hospital. She weighed seven pounds and nine ounces. She was 20 1/2 inches long. Her parents are Daine and Stephanie Behling of Ferron. Koree was welcomed by her sisters, Kaicee, who is seven and Kodee, who is four.
Part of the fun for being the New Year’s baby includes a prize package put together by the Emery County Progress and donated by local merchants.
The New Year’s baby and family will receive diapers from Stewart’s Market, gift certificate from Hometown Market, two free gallons of paint from Magnuson Lumber, one year subscription to the Emery County Progress, savings certificate from Eastern Utah Community Credit Union, six Desert Wave pool passes, coupons for Cold Stone Creamery, gift certificate from Gordon’s Floral and Nursery and a free 2×4 first birthday ad in the Emery County Progress.
