EMERY – Dwaine Andrew Anderson, age 87, passed away at his home in Emery on March 13, 2016. He was born Oct. 8, 1928 in Emery, Utah to Arthur and Virtue Duzzett Anderson. Dwaine worked for many years as a coal miner in the Browning and Consol Mines. He married his sweetheart LuElla Maxfield on Feb. 10, 1951 in Emery, Utah. They have enjoyed 65 wonderful years together. He loved the outdoors and was a member of the Emery Riding Club and the Emery County Jeep Posse. After retiring he and LuElla enjoyed spending winters away from the cold in many places including Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Beaver Dam. He also enjoyed camping and hunting with the family for many years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Dwaine was loved by many, many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Dwaine was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Elmo, Melvern, Melbern, Robert, Robert Edwards, Lyle, James, and his sisters Bonnie, Bertha, Bessy, also his father and mother-in-laws UDean and Ella Maxfield and other family members including Maureen, Mary Ellen, Morris, Barbara and Norris Lewis, and Scott Thorne.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 7-8 p.m. at the Emery Ward Chapel in Emery, Utah. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Emery Ward Chapel with a visitation an hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Emery City Cemetery.
