EAST CARBON – Neil Henningson, 88, passed away Oct. 12, 2016 surrounded by his family at his home in East Carbon. He was born Sept. 20, 1928 in Spring Canyon to Legrand and Mary Jumper Henningson. Neil married Maxine Allred in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1987.
He was raised in Emery where he went to school up to the eighth grade. He was a farmer until he became a coal miner at Kaiser Steel in Sunnyside for 42 years. He loved rock hunting, fishing, camping and four-wheel riding with his family.
He was a wonderful Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother and Step Dad. He was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his children Kenneth Henningson of Lyman, Wyo., Debra Lien, Cecil Henningson and Lynda Miles all of East Carbon, Dennis and Claudia Henningson of Pendleton, Ore.; four sisters Dorthy Pulley, Jean Zwahlen, Floann and Bevan Wilson, Hazel and Dick Cox, Wayne Staley; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 6 step children; 10 step grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Maxine, his parents, son Michael and sister Delsie.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at Fausett Mortuary in Price from 6-8 pm. Interment will take place on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Emery City Cemetery at 12:00 noon entrusted to Fausett Mortuary.
