Frances Handley
Huntington – Frances Jayne Handley (91), passed away Nov. 20, 2017 in Price, Utah. Francy was born Nov. 19, 1926 in Needles, Calif. to Walter Andrews and Uphamia Baxter (Gunderson). She married Dan K LeRoy on June 25, 1947 in Huntington. She remarried Samuel C Handley on Dec. 10, 1976 in Huntington.
Francy lived in Hiawatha until she was 12 years old and moved to Huntington for the remaining 76 years. She graduated from Wasatch Academy in 1945, active member of the LDS Church and sealed in the temple to Dan K LeRoy. She worked at Progressive Market and Food Ranch grocery stores for many years. Her interests were crocheting, family, painting and gardening (she loved flowers). Francy went on her lifelong dream to Hawaii and got to see all of every island. She loved to serve – working at grocery stores until she was 75 years old and many different auxiliaries which she served as president, vice president and secretary.
Survived by her children Sharree Grimmett of Huntington, Drew (Valerie) LeRoy of St. George, Gregory (Donna) LeRoy of Huntington, Kelly (Ronda) LeRoy of Castle Dale, Fred (Annette) LeRoy of Castle Dale and many grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Preceded in death by Dan K LeRoy (husband), Jimmy K LeRoy (son), James W Baxter (brother), Walter A Baxter (father), Uphamia M Baxter (mother) and Sam Handley (husband).
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Huntington Stake Center. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery entrusted to Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guestbook and share memories of Frances at www.fausettmortuary.com.
