Green River Veteran’s Monument dedication ceremony

The dedication for the Veteran’s Monument in Green River, Utah will take place Monday August 14 at 10:30 am. at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum. Everyone is asked to arrive by 10:15 and to park in the overflow parking at the River Terrace Hotel and bring their own chairs. This monument has been something the community has wanted for a long time and a committee of local citizens has made it happen. The dedication of this monument will coincide with the American Legion Riders, a group of veteran motorcycle riders, arriving in Green River on their Legion Legacy Run. They will participate in the dedication of the monument in Green River. The Legion Legacy Run raises money for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship which provides college money for the children of US Military personnel killed in active duty.
