The Emery High swim teams hosted Grand High, South Sevier High and North Sanpete High last week and for the second week in a row the host teams defeated their opponents.
The girls dominated their foes as they won eight of thirteen events and scored 402 points. Grand followed with 161 points and they were followed by North Sanpete with 92 points and South Sevier with 87 points. The boys won five of thirteen events and they scored 375 points and they were followed by Grand with 278 points, North Sanpete with 130 points and South Sevier with 56 points.
BriAnne Bass led the girls team with a pair of solo event victories and swimming on two winning relay teams. Bass won the 200-yard freestyle race and the 500-yard freestyle race and swam anchor on the 200-yard medley relay team and on the 400-yard freestyle relay team. Her teammates on the two relays were Alexis Johansen, Angellena Migliori and Kaelee Hooley.
Keldan Guymon won two events for the boys and swam on two relay teams. His team of Deegan Minchey, Parker Stilson and Asher Beagley won the 200-yard medley and his team of Minchey, Beagley and Jonathan Seeley finished second in the 400-yard free. Guymon won the 50-yard free race and the 100-yard fly race.
Other winners in the meet were Johansen for the girls in the 50-yard free, Sydney Terwilleger in the 100-yard backstroke and Harmony Willson in the 100-yard breaststroke. The team of Jocee Funk, Haley Guymon, Alejandra Garcia and Terwilleger won the 200-yard freestyle relay race.
For the boys, Minchey won the 200-yard IM and Seeley won the 100-yard breaststroke.
Placing in the top four for the girls were Abigail Olsen and Brynne Urie as they finished third and fourth in the 200-yard free, Hooley, Migliori and Jenny Funk finished second, third and fourth in the 200-yard IM, Terwilleger was second in the 50-yard free, Garcia and Guymon were second and fourth in the 100-yard free, Raquelle Simmons was second in the 500-yard free, Hooley was second and Guymon was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke and Kayleigh McCandless, Danielle Simmons and Urie were second, third and fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke.
For the boys, Seeley was second, Malone Moss was third and Eli Beagley was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle, Stilson was second and Gage Jensen was third in the 200-yard IM, Allen Durrant was third and Beagley was fourth in the 50-yard free, Beagley was third in the 100-yard fly, Minchey was second in the 100-yard free, Durrant was second, Levi Olsen was third and Moss was fourth in the 500-yard free and Stilson was second in the 100-yard backstroke.
