On Thursday at 6:30 in the Swell room 17 people attended the STEM book discussion program on survival. The book discussed was Arctic Drift by: Clive Cussler.
Roxanne Jensen lead the discussion about the book, and showed a video of the author talking about his book, as well as the informal science video about farming and Combine Derby’s.
Joey Birch was the science partner, he had previously been a truck driver for 20 years, and then suffered a life changing accident, leaving him paralyzed. He shared his experience and talked about how to survive this type of drastic change of circumstances.
On April 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Castle Dale Library will be our next Family STEM night on Nature. May 18 at 6:30 p.m. will be our next book discussion program. The book we will be discussing is When the Killing’s done by: T.C. Boyle. Books are available for check out at the library. Check out your local library for all types of activities.
The county libraries have all received Kindles for patrons to check out.
