The Castle Dale Fire Department has sent two members to California to be part of the unified strike team. Castle Dale sent two fire fighters, Jason Kava and Richard Hayward.
In addition to the fire fighters a Castle Dale fire truck is involved in the efforts. As of Dec. 13, Kava and Hayward were stationed at the Thomas fire. They are protecting homes in the area.
Fire Chief, Nosh Arrien said, “We are very fortunate to have a qualified strike team and truck at the wildfires in California. We are happy to represent our community and county.”
