Emery County had the privilege of sending a few of its most bright and unique young ladies to attend the Girls state this past week at Weber State University.
Girls who attended Girls State from Emery County: Lexi Gale, Abbie Huntington, Asia Bell, Jayla Weston, Carlie Robinson, Emily Bott, Elexis Dalton, Madison Jensen, Kaitlyn Carter, Sam Morgan, Jaiden Boyle Jorgenson, and Dawson Byars. Girls State is a unique and exciting government – in – action learning program in which American Legion Auxiliary members guide young women to become knowledgable stewards of freedom, democracy and patriotic citizens.” Governor Gary Herbert and Motivational Speaker, Musician and Soldier Ryan Stream were the Key note Speakers to our young future leaders.
