Huntington is the spot for a new Yoga business. Kirsa Merrell is the yoga instructor. She teaches yoga for kids, adults and teens. She became interested in yoga to help her own health problems and then chose to branch out to help other people.
The business is in the upstairs of the new Clifford Law Office at 175 North Main in Huntington.
She also does private yoga sessions and kids yoga birthday parties. She prefers appointments be made on facebook at facebook.com SeasonsYoga.
You don’t need your own yoga mat because Merrell has several, but if you have one you prefer to use you can bring it to the classes. Merrell said, “Yoga can really help you to get focused. It teaches meditation skills. It really helps you to feel great and relax.”
The other new business upstairs is Art in the Attic. This new business is operated by Tonya Clifford. She is an artist and is excited to share her passion for art with others. Especially the children. Clifford said, “I give art lessons. We have art parties, birthday parties. I love to watch the little kids draw and teach them to draw. I also do private lessons for teenagers. I like to get new ideas from my peers. I teach a youth class on Monday. Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Teen time is free on Thursdays at 3 p.m. Private lessons for all ages are $10 a lesson. The phone number for Art in the Attic is 435-609-9660 and you can locate the business on Facebook with @artsintheattic.
Clifford believes there is a little bit of art in everyone. Her new studio is a great environment for introducing children to art. She has a variety of supplies for the children to use and encourages their creativity. She has volunteered teaching art in local elementary schools. She’s always amazed at the talent in the young people. In the right environment with instruction their creativity flows and they create amazing projects.
She’s always happy when she hears from a parent that can’t quite believe their child created such a professional looking project. “I just love how the kids are so proud of their work, it’s just so cute.” Clifford encourages everyone to come and give art a try you just might have hidden talent you haven’t discovered yet.
The Emery County Business Chamber helped celebrate the opening of this new business by hosting a ribbon cutting. Art in the Attic, Seasons Yoga and Clifford Law Office had an open house all afternoon and gave away door prizes and hot dogs.
