Forest Service Personnel and people from Sanpete, Emery and Carbon counties gathered to cut a ribbon at the Stuarts Guard station and to celebrate the completion of the work on the Scenic Byway.
New interpretive panels have been placed along the byway. The Stuart Guard station features the history of the CCC camps in the area and the early history of the Forest Service.
There were a number of speakers at the event and Bill Broadbear received a special recognition.
A Scenic Byway tour was held on Saturday where visitors stopped along the byway for a stamp on their byway tour card and an activity. At the end of the six stops participants received a back pack full of surprises.
