As high school seniors throughout Utah begin applying for admission to the state’s colleges and universities, Zions Bank encourages them to apply for its 2005-06 Founders Scholarship. Zions Bank’s Founders Scholarship awards four-year, full-tuition scholarships to 12 Utah high school students annually, one to a student who will be attending each of the state’s institutions of higher learning � Brigham Young University, College of Eastern Utah, Davis Applied Technology College, Dixie State College, Salt Lake Community College, Southern Utah University, Snow College, University of Utah, Utah State University, Utah Valley State College, Weber State University and Westminster College.
This year’s CEU Founders Scholarship recipient is Kerri Rogers. She was selected for the scholarship based on her excellence in scholarship, citizenship and community involvement. A Castle Dale High School graduate with a 3.5 grade point average, she was involved in the Castle Dale Youth City Council, business clubs and service organizations. She is currently studying pre-med generals and hopes to go into physical therapy.
“I’m grateful for Zions Bank’s scholarship because it has really helped me out by freeing up my time so I can just focus on school right now,” said Rogers, who on Nov. 8 received a commemorative plaque from Zions Bank branch manager Erroll Holt and Brad King, CEU Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Student Services.

Zions Bank established the Founders Scholarship Program in 2001, in honor of the 200th birthday of its founder, Brigham Young.
The bank honors the scholarship recipients at an annual luncheon and stays involved with the students as they progress through their years in higher education.
