Morris Lavar Curtis, born March 6, 1923 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Jan. 22, 2018.
Morris was preceded in death by his dear wife Beverly and by three grandchildren: Kate, Justin and Cody. He is survived by six children: Sharon Mead (Gary, deceased), Craig (Sharon), Valerie Schrader (Ron), Laurie Duke (Darrell), April (Carmen) and Kirk (Tara). The couple had 33 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Debbie and Richard Hutchinson became honorary family members along with so many others too numerous to name. He was devoted to his family and everyone he met became family.
He was a decorated World War II combat medic veteran, a hero to his family and to all.
He was devoted to his Heavenly Father and led a life of service.
There was a time for family and friends to visit and reminisce on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 from 6–8 p.m. at the LDS church building at 650 West Southern Ave. The funeral was at the same location on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Noon with a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will be at the Orangeville Cemetery in Orangeville, Utah with a Graveside Service on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Noon. Arrangements entrusted to Fausett Mortuary of Emery County. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and share memories of Morris at www.fausettmortuary.com.
