Marva K. Seely


CASTLE DALE-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend Marva K. Seely, 78, passed away April 6, 2004 at her home in Castle Dale. She was born Sept. 18, 1925 in Emery, Ut. to Victor T. and Edna C. Sorensen Keele. She was raised in Emery and later married Orange Henry Seely on Dec. 24, 1955 in Elko, Nev., and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1978.
Marva enjoyed crafts, woodworking, embroidery and working beside her husband raising cows. Her greatest joy in her life was her family. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings.
Marva is survived by her husband Henry Seely of Castle Dale; four daughters, Sandi (Tony) Smith of Moab, Terri and the late Ellis Smith of Grace, Idaho, Vania (David) Smith of Grace, Idaho, Cathi (Ray) Taylor of Las Vegas, Nev.; 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and a brother Melvin Keele of Las Vegas and two sisters, Vernel Marqusic of Youngstown, Ohio, and Ina McElprang of Kearns. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and Weldon Keele, sisters Ellen Stewart and Connie Keele.
Funeral services were held on Sat. April 10 in the Castle Dale Stake Center. Interment followed in the Castle Dale Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Robert Llewelyn


PRICE – Robert (Bob) John Llewelyn was called forth to the comfort of God’s loving arms on April 7, 2004.
Born Jan. 13, 1943 in Clear Creek, to David T. and Ida Averett Llewelyn. Married Lena Lee Zaccaria Feb. 25, 1967 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price.
Bob was a member of the Catholic Church and a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Deer Creek Local 1769. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked in the oil fields from 1968-1976.
Bob made friends wherever he went and no one was a stranger to him. Many knew him as “Stubby” or “Grumpy Bob,” but whatever his name, he was a true friend to all. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just spending time in the outdoors. He loved working on cars and scroll woodworking. His proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren.
Survived by loving wife, Lena Llewelyn, Price; daughter, Jerri (Brad) Hardman; granddaughter, Brandie Hardman; grandson, J. Broc Hardman, all of St. George; son, Ronnie (Heather) Llewelyn, San Deigo, Calif.; son, Robert John (Jeannie) Llewelyn; grandson, Robert James Llewelyn, all of Price; sister, Geraldine (Bo) Webb, Alexandria, Tenn.; Godparents, Joe and Vera Gurule, Price; and extended Zaccaria and Averett families. He is welcome into Heaven by his father, David; mother, Ida; guardian, Frank Averett; brother, David; mother-in-law, Connie Zaccaria; grandparents, Nora and James Averett and many others who loved him deeply.
Funeral Mass Wed., April 14, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service Tuesday evening, 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Notre Dame Catholic Church.

Norman Fillmore


PRICE – Norman Roy Fillmore, 53, passed away in Salt Lake City on April 8, 2004.
He was born Oct. 31, 1950 in Price to Norman J. and Reva Allen Fillmore He married Rosann Davis on Nov. 15, 1975 and later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. They later divorced, but still loved.
He was raised in Emery County, and was a graduate of Emery High School. He also attended Utah State University. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but was tolerant of all faiths and schools of thought. He was an electrician in mining, and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed mechanical work with cars, working with his dad on the farm and reading and cooking. He loved watching people, nature and desired to learn all he could about life. He was a big tease.
Roy is survived by former wife, Rosann Fillmore of Orangeville; children, Aleesa Fillmore of Orangeville; Darren R. (Miranda) Fillmore of Logan; Elder Eric L. Fillmore, currently serving in the Manchester, New Hampshire mission. Also surviving Roy is mother Reva A. Fillmore; brothers, Dale (Angelia) Fillmore, Blaine (Cindy) Fillmore, Blair (Maryann) Fillmore, Carl (Elizabeth) Fillmore, all of Lawrence; and sister, Sharon Chmieleski of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by father; daughter Rosann Fillmore; and nephew, Andy Fillmore.
Funeral services were April 12, in the Orangeville LDS Ward Chapel. Interment, Castle Dale Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale.

John Lozinsky


EAST CARBON/ELMO – Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, John Lozinsky, age 84, passed away April 11, 2004 at the Turnquist Retreat in Elmo.
Born June 23, 1919 in Rouse, Colo., to Mike and Minnie Zubal Lozinsky. Married Katherine Anna Clements April 24, 1944 in LaJunta, Colo.
John was a resident of East Carbon since 1948, where he was a faithful member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of East Carbon. Over the years he was actively involved with the senior citizen center in East Carbon. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Horse Canyon Local 8003. He loved working in his garden and was an avid fisherman. John’s greatest love and enjoyment was for his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by wife, Katherine Lozinsky, Elmo; daughter, Betty (Terry) Jordan, Price; son, John H. (Kathy) Lozinsky, Hayden, Colo.; daughter, Verna Stephens, Milner, Ga.; brother, Harold (Ida) Lozinsky; sister, Donna (Art) Barbari, both of Pueblo, Colo.; and nine loving grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, George and Mike Lozinsky; sister, Verna; and great-grandson, Andrew Dowton.
Funeral service Friday, April 16, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
