The Emery High wrestling team recently hosted a take down tournament with four schools participating.
Altamont ended up the winner in the take down tournament due to the number of wrestlers. Emery wrestlers will face off against Lehi wrestlers on Wednesday in the Spartan Center. In a take down tournament the wrestlers don’t worry about pins, but see how many times they can take their opponent down in six minutes. Fifteen is the magic number and if a wrestler reaches 15 take downs then the round ends.
