Bertha Rosella Jensen Jones, age 87, died on April 19, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah of complication from surgery. Born Oct. 17, 1930 the 10th child of Julius and Irene Foote Jensen in Clawson, Utah. Married George D. Stulce, later divorced. Married Lloyd C. Jones on Nov. 28, 1956 and sealed in Jordan River Temple July 31, 1985. Lloyd died Feb. 15, 1997.
Survived by stepson David (Dalegene) Jones of Castle Dale, Utah and Mary Kate (Rickie) Keele of Carbonville, Utah, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, stepdaughter Mavis Stone and siblings Emma Edwards, Frank Jensen, Alice Howell, Andrew Jensen, Joe Jensen, Mae Kaser, Mary Woolsey, Nephi Jensen and Ammon Jensen.
Bertha went to school at North Sanpete. She was a member of the LDS church she served as Primary Secretary, Relief Society Compassionate Service, Magazine Drive and Visiting Teacher. Bertha loved the gospel. She was a member of DUP Lily of the Valley Camp. She was 1st Vic Captain, Secretary for eight years and gave lessons and histories. She served as election judge for many years. Bertha was a long-time resident of Elmo, Utah. She was talented in painting, crocheting, gardening and other crafts. She had a heart of gold.
Funeral will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Elmo LDS Chapel at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Elmo Cemetery entrusted to Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and share memories of Bertha at www.fausettmortuary.com.
