CASTLE DALE – Our sweet angel mother and grandmother, Clara Marlene Glazier Farley was called home to heaven suddenly on Jan. 15, 2018.
She was born Dec. 13, 1938 in Provo, Utah to Charles Lamar and Helen Evelyn Daley Glazier. Marlene married her sweetheart Earl Lewis Farley in the Manti Temple on Sept. 21, 1955 at the age of 16. Together they had nine children, Earlene (Ken) Christiansen, Emery Utah, Balinda Bair, Gunnison Utah, Danny Farley, Castle Dale, Utah, Anita (Bret) Mills, Castle Dale, Utah, Christy (Dean) Collard, Huntington Utah, Helen Morgan, Huntington, Utah, Kyle (Misty) Farley, Castle Dale, Utah, Doug (Danielle) Farley, Castle Dale, Utah. Together Earl and Marlene had 39 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren, not counting the others they adopted. Also survived by her brothers and sisters, David, Kenny, Lorin, Byron, Chuck, John, Carol, Lori, Myrle, and the Daley siblings.
She was preceded in death by her ninth baby, Marshall Lewis Farley, parents, Charles Lamar Glazier and Helen Evelyn Daley, baby sister, Virginia Lee Glazier, and grandson, Lance Boston Graham.
Marlene was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in the church but her greatest service was to her family. Marlene had a heart as big as the great outdoors. She never met anyone she didn’t genuinely love and bring into her family. Marlene loved to cook for her family, crochet, sew and read.
Funeral service, Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, 11 a.m., at the Castle Dale Stake Center. Family will receive friends at the church Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Castle Dale City Cemetery.
