Emery boys and girls swim teams take first in home meet on Tuesday; girls first; boys second in Thursday’s meet

        Last week the two Emery High swim teams hosted two meets at the Emery County Aquatic Center, the Lady Spartans won twice and the boy’s team won on Tuesday but lost a close one on Thursday.
        The Lady Spartans scored 415 points on Tuesday and edged the Lady Dinos from Carbon High who scored 370 points.  North Sanpete scored 97 points and South Sevier scored 49 points.  On Thursday the Ladies scored 462.5 points to overwhelm North Summit, Gunnison Valley and Wasatch Academy.
North Summit scored 322.5 points followed by Gunnison with 105 points and
Wasatch Academy with 90 points.
The Emery boys’ team scored 374 points on Tuesday followed by Carbon with
269 points, North Sanpete with 105 points and South Sevier with 91 points.  On Thursday, North Summit edged the Emery boys 410 points to 393
points.  Last season Emery defeated North Summit for the 2-A state title.
 Wasatch Academy scored 157 points and Gunnison Valley scored 90 points.
Emery and North Summit each won five races and Wasatch Academy won the
other.
Individual winners on Tuesday for the girls were BriAnne Bass in the
200-yard freestyle, Kaelee Hooley in the 100-yard free and Haley Guymon
in the 100-yard breaststroke.  Also winning was the 200-yard medley relay
team consisting of Sydney Terwilleger, Guymon, Hooley and Alexis Johansen
along with the 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Hooley,
Angelina Migliori, Johansen and Bass.  Winners on Thursday were Hooley in
the 200-yard freestyle, Bass in the 50-yard freestyle and in the 500-yard
free, Guymon in the 100-yard fly and Migliori in the 100-yard
breaststroke.  All three relay teams won with the same team in the
200-yard medley wining, the team of Migliori, Guymon, Terwilleger and
Bass won the 200-yard free and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Bass,
Hooley, Migliori and Johansen won.
Individual winners on Tuesday for the boys were Asher Beagley in the
200-yard free, Gage Jensen won the 200-yard Individual medley, Keldan
Guymon won the 50-yard free and the 100-yard fly in back-to-back races,
and Deegan Minchey won the 500-yard free.  The 200-yard medley team of
Beagley, Minchey, Guymon and Allen Durrant won as did the 200-yard free
relay team consisting of Jonathan Seely, Guymon, Beagley and Minchey.  The
final event of the day also went to the Emery boys as Durrant, Levi Olsen,
Eli Beagley and Seely won the 400-yard free relay.  On Thursday Minchey
won the 200-yard free, Guymon won the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard
backstroke and Parker Stilson won the 500-yard free.  The relay team of
Guymon, Asher Beagley, Stilson and Minchey won the 200-yard free.
