Desert Edge Christian Chapel joins Alpine

Desert Edge Christian Chapel is excited to become a part of Alpine Church. Alpine Church is a multi-site Christian church with seven locations around Utah, Huntington being the newest of those locations. Alpine’s goal and the goal of the Desert Edge campus is simple: to help people pursue God. Desert Edge is still under the leadership of Carl and Jodi Sitterud. They will continue their ministry as they have for the past 20 years. Being part of Alpine Church means the Sitterud’s and all of Desert Edge Chapel will now have more support for their ongoing ministry from other Alpine Church campuses and a central team.
Carl and Jodi Sitterud have been in ministry for 23 years.  In 1993, Carl graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education. Carl became assistant pastor at Price Chapel in Price. Three years later, he planted Desert Edge Church in Huntington.
Carl and Jodi have been serving at Desert Edge for 20 years. Carl has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies. Jodi is a Language Arts teacher at Canyon View Middle School and also has a Master’s Degree and has taught for 18 years.
Together Carl and Jodi have three children and eight grandchildren. Family time is fun at the Sitterud’s house, creating and keeping  family traditions are important to both of them. Along with family, Carl and Jodi’s hobbies include hunting, traveling, and golf. Through the years of ministry, a few highlights stand out. When the church family labored to build a church together, Desert Edge is living proof of how God can use a small, committed family of faith to build the impossible.
 Also, when Jodi and Carl traveled to Israel together, seeing the Holy land was a dream come true. Last, but not least, in June of 2001 when Jodi won Carl in a round of golf. Carl and Jodi look forward to the next 20 or so years of living and sharing life together in God’s adventure.

Everyone is welcome to attend Alpine Church Desert Edge.
 Worship service is every Sunday at 10 a.m., which includes children’s church and youth group.
AWANA Club is held during the school year on Thursdays at 6 p.m. There are several Bible studies throughout the week to meet your needs.
