Cruise #44 set to sail on the Green River

Boats will descend upon the Green and the Colorado Rivers this weekend in the Friendship Cruise.

The 2005 Friendship Cruise promises to be an exciting holiday weekend for its participants.
The E.C.S.P. , a non-profit organization, has announced the 44th running of the annual Friendship Cruise for Memorial Day Weekend.
From Friday May 27 through Monday May 30.
The cruise begins in Green River, down the pleasant Green River to the confluence of the mighty Colorado and up the river to Moab. The trip is 184 miles and usually takes two or three days to make the run, due to many natural and historic sites you may want to explore. The well-organized cruise includes transportation of your vehicle from Green River to Moab where it will be waiting for you at the Moab dock. Cruise rescue boats, launching and docking facilities and assistance, plus radio communications for emergency messages are included in the registration fee.
Please be advised that larger boats and deep-v hulls are marginal in low water. Jet-skis, catamarans and sailboats are not allowed. Pontoon boats must have a minimum of 150 hp engine.
No exceptions to rules on the boats.

The Green River is running high enough to hold the 2005 Friendship Cruise after low water in 2003 and 2004 cancelled the cruise.

Camping is done at your leisure, there are numerous places along both rivers to camp.
Camp with a group or by yourselves. Enjoy going through Utah’s spectacular Canyon Country.
Boaters arrive in Moab all day Sunday and Monday until 12 noon, for the disembarkation and travel home.
We hope to see you on the cruise through time and history.
