SCOFIELD RESERVOIR Aquatics Biologist Justin Hart performed a creel survey at Scofield this past weekend. Fishing was slow, but steady for shoreline anglers. Hot spots seemed to be the north boat ramp, where anglers used a variety of PowerBait colors. The other good spot was on the west side at the DWR angler access, where one lady angler did very well with a worm and marshmallow. She caught a 4.5 pound cutthroat and numerous 15-inch rainbow trout with this tackle. Some float tubers did well on the south part of the lake using caddis imitations. Boaters continue to do best. Most were anchored, and were fishing with PowerBait or worms. Some trolled pop gear and worms or spinners. Justin reported that the average fish for boaters was 15 inches and 1.5 pounds. Most boats had their limits of fish. As the water cools, fishing should pick up for shoreline anglers.

SPINNERS RESERVOIR Slow fishing continues, although the lake holds a few large trout.
