The Museum of the San Rafael is the temporary home to a showcase of Old Spanish Trail memorabilia and items found along the trail.

Janet Petersen, curator of the Museum of the San Rafael is excited about the new exhibit on loan to the museum. Alva Matheson is a leading researcher and historian on the Old Spanish Trail. He is allowing us to display some of his collection of memorabilia. Many of the items were found in Iron County. They include an old rifle, arrow heads, books, a stone statue and other items of interest.
We are looking forward to the Old Spanish Trail convention that is coming to Green River in June. They will tour the area and also visit our museum, said Petersen.
