Two Emery High football players received all-state honors and four Spartans were named to the all-region team, another five to the second team, and seven received honorable mention.
Offensive lineman Chris Wayman was named to the all-state second team in both the Salt Lake newspapers. Josh Sharp received honorable mention in the Deseret News as a linebacker.
Tight end Brandon Hansen and defensive lineman Jake Jensen joined Wayman on the all-region first team. Sharp also made the first team, but this time as a running back.
Second team all-state members were quarterback Kent Stilson, wide receiver Seth Powell, offensive lineman RJ Leamaster, defensive lineman Chad Taylor, and defensive back Garrett Swenson.
Those receiving honorable mention were Jeremy Cowley, Jeff Fielder, Kirk Player, Jared Malone, Mason Livingston, Kenny Eley and Matt Cornett.
