Desertview Federal Credit Union in Huntington has opened an account for the Richard and Dawn Childs family of Huntington who lost their home in a fire. Santa’s Mail Box
Get your letters ready for Santa Claus. Santa’s Mail Box has been placed at Orangeville City Hall. Please allow one week for Santa to respond. Mail your letter before Dec. 21.
Warm Coats Campaign
You can help keep a child warm this winter by helping the United Way of Southeastern Utah in the 2nd annual Warm Kids Project: Coins for Coats Campaign. Donations of cash are needed for new coats and gently-used coats, hats, and gloves will also help people in Emery County. Christmas Eve Mass
Christmas Eve Mass will be celebrated at the Mission San Rafael on Dec. 24 at 9 p.m.
Holiday Turkeys
Holiday Turkeys to be distributed at the Emery County Food Bank on Dec. 19, 20, and 21 during regular hours. Only for persons with children; must have active file at food bank. For questions call 381-5410.
Historical Society Party
The annual Christmas party and program for all society members and guests will be presented on Dec. 20, at 6 p.m., at the Museum of the San Rafael. A light meal of chili and soup will be provided and all guests are asked to bring goodies to share. A program of peaceful music and prose will be presented by local talent with Christmas carols to follow. Books by local authors will be available for Christmas giving. Everyone is welcome to enjoy this merry Christmas event.
Skiing Halfpipe Jam
“Anything Goes” at the kahlua Halfpipe Jam Freestyle Skiing event and contest to be held at the Park City Mountain Resort Ski Shop on Dec. 22, at Noon-2p.m. Amateurs and professionals can exhibit their skills and get pointers, prizes, and autographs. BLM Christmas Trees
The Price office of the Bureau of Land Management at 125 South 600 West, will sell Christmas tree permits for personal use through Dec. 22. There is a fee. No more than three permits can be purchased for other families at one time. For list of places to cut trees, call 435-636-3600.
A Sacred Cantata
The Huntington Glee Club and Women’s Chorus will present their annual Christmas program featuring a sacred contata “The Savior of the World” on Dec. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Huntington LDS Stake Center. For more information call Janet Leamaster at 687-9254.
New Museum Displays
Looking for special entertainment for your family or even out-of-town relatives and family now and during the holidays? Why not enjoy the ever changing displays at the Pioneer Museum and the Museum of the San Rafael.
