Ferron Olympic Program


Ferron Elementary’s Olympic program will be Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and help the students of Ferron Elementary “Light the Fire Within.”

Little League Wrestling


A meeting for those interested in helping with Little League Wrestling will be held on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at Canyon View Junior High in Huntington.

BookCliff Muzzleloaders


The BookCliff Muzzleloaders Blackpowder club will meet for their February shoot on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Pinnacle Peak range. Bring a prize and lots of powder and balls.

Castle Dale Camp Dale


The DUP meeting will be held on Feb. 11 at the Castle Dale Senior Citizen building at 1 p.m. For more information or to join call Ina Lee Magnuson at 381-2618.

Attention Parents

HEAT Program


Emery County Community Services at 40 South Center Street in Castle Dale, is still accepting applications for the Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) Program which assists eligible households with winter heating bills. Applications taken by appointmenr. Contact Sandy at 381-5410.

Dog License Deadline


Cleveland residents are required to license their dogs by Feb. 28. All dogs must have proof of current rabies shots to be licensed. Persons failing to do so are subject to a $15 fine in addition to regular fees. This late fee will be enforced as of March 1.

Orangeville Calendars


Orangeville City Calendars are now available. There is also an insert for those who purchased the calendar before Jan. 15. It is a small correction for the month of August. You can pick up the insert at the city hall.

Huntington Dog Licenses


Huntington 2002 dog licenses are now due. Purchase licenses at city hall You will need proof of your pet’s current rabies vaccination. Call 687-2436 for more information.

Lincoln Day Dinner


The Lincoln Day Dinner hosted by the Republican party of Emery County will be held on Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. at the Ferron Senior Citizen Center. Tickets can be purchased from your local precinct chairman or vice chairman of each town. LDS Adult Activity


A dinner and program at the Castle Dale Stake Center will be held on Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker is Mamie Hjorth, who will do a presentation on Emma Smith. There will be an affordable charge for the dinner.

New Exhibit Coming


The Museum of the San Rafael will be featuring a new Cultural Olympiad exhibit “Artists of the American West,” from Feb. 6 – March 9. An opening reception will be on Feb. 7, starting at 6 p.m. with a program at 7 p.m. Plan to bring your family to this exhibition organized and toured by ExhibitsUSA.

Valentine’s Day Carnival


Huntington Elementary PTA Carnival will be on Feb. 14, from 5-8 p.m. at the elementary gym with food, games and fun. Craft sale, bake sale, cake walk, ringtoss, football throw, and much more.

EMT Basic Class


Sign up now for classes starting on March 4, ending on May 2. Learn how to help when someone is sick or injured. You must register by Feb. 5. Dog Licenses Due


Orangeville dog licenses are due by Feb. 28. A rabies clinic will be held at the city fire station Feb. 23 from 9 a.m.-Noon. Citations will be issued on March 1, with additional fees assessed for late licensing.
