Two men were arrested Jan. 25 for drug-related charges following an investigation by the Emery County Drug Task Force and the Emery County Sheriff’s Office.
Adam Wilson and Guillermo William Hernandez were arrested after deputies obtained search warrants for three residences in Huntington and discovered a quantity of drugs and stolen property. Wilson, of Wellington, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute and Hernandez was arrested for possession of stolen property and immigration violations.
According to the sheriff’s office the search warrants were the result of several months of investigation. According to Sheriff Lamar Guymon in the process of the investigation information was obtained that there was a quantity of crystal methamphetamine in one of the areas searched. Only a portion of the drugs law enforcement officers were searching for was discovered. It is believed the remaining amount was distributed. One-quarter pound of crystal methamphetamine was discovered with a street value of $11,000. Deputies also discovered $3,700 in cash.
