Bob “Buck” Davis


ORANGEVILLE – Bob “Buck” Davis, age 65, passed away March 15, 2002 at the Castle View Hospital in Price. His heart failed during treatment for severe pneumonia. He was born Jan. 19, 1937 in Richfield to Melvin “Micky” Harold and Emily Lucille Gissdorff Davis. He married Gwen Olsen in 1972, later divorced, though they always remained close.
Bob loved his children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces and they loved him. He had the soft heart of a child, willing to love and yearning for love in return. He enjoyed the peace and beauty of Utah’s backcountry and spent a great deal of his life working and playing there. Bob loved to tell stories of his travels as a truck driver, oil roughneck and his other adventures. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his mother, Lucille of Sandy, ex-wife Gwen and their children Mike, Debora and Gail, brothers Fred, Terry and Kirk Allen and sister Margaret Millom. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother Jon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Orangeville LDS chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Orangeville Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
