Salt Lake City detectives and F.B.I. agents were in Emery County over the weekend investigating matters related to the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case.
Acting on an anonymous tip the Emery County Progress contacted Emery County Sheriff Lamar Guymon who did confirm that Salt Lake City detectives and F.B.I. agents from the Salt Lake office were in Emery and Carbon counties over the weekend. “They were working with Emery County detectives and interviewed a large number of people who are believed to be associated with Richard Ricci.”
Sheriff Guymon was hesitant to release any further information but did ask that residents having any information about Ricci or his vehicles, to contact the Emery County Sheriff’s Office at 381-2404 or the Salt Lake City Police Department at 801-799-3000.
Sheriff Guymon further stated that he is not at liberty at this time to divulge any more information.
