Elder Merrell
Elder Blake J. Merrell has accepted the call to serve in the Philippines Olongapo, Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He will prepare by learning the Tagalog language.
He will speak in the Castle Dale 1st Ward sacrament meeting on Aug. 25 at 11 a.m.
Elder Merrell will enter the Missionary Training Center on Aug. 28. He is the son of Duane and Tammy Merrell, the grandson of Dale and JoAnn Merrell and the late Betty Merrell of Vernal, and Wayne and Elaine Wilberg of Castle Dale.
Elder Spencer James
Elder Spencer James has been called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to serve in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission. His farewell will be Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Millsite Ward (old building) in Ferron.
Elder James will enter the Missionary Training Center on Sept. 4. He is the son of Daniel and Youlonda James.
Elder Travis Miller
Elder Travis Miller has been called to serve in the Cincinnati Ohio Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His farewell will be Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. at the Price 7th Ward, 995 East 700 North. He will enter the MTC on Aug. 28
There will be a luncheon for family and friends after 12 noon at the Miller residence.
Travis is the son of Leonard and Jan Miller.
Sister Larsen
Sister Andrea Larsen will return home on Aug. 21 after serving in the Missouri Independence Mission.
She will report her mission Aug. 25 at 9 a.m.in the Orangeville Ward House.
Andee is the daughter of Gordon and Carole Larsen of Orangeville. Her grandparents are Herb and Barbara Clarke of Salt Lake and the late Leonard and Leola Larsen of Ferron. She has one great-grandpa, Lionell Garside of West Valley.
