Pre-season action for the Lady Spartan tennis team began last week in Delta on Tuesday against the Rabbits of Delta High and Thursday at home opposite South Sevier High School. The schedule for next week’s play: Sept. 3, Lehi at Emery, Wednesday the Lady Spartan’s will be in Cedar City, and Thursday, Millard will be at Emery. The matches are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Coach Tom Hansen and Assistant Coach Derrick Short have been pleased to see the number of spectators at the matches steadily increasing. Coach Hansen commented, “The girls appreciate the support they get from the school, it’s awesome.”
