PRICE – Our loving mother and Yia Yia, Mary Koulouris Diamanti, age 86, passed away at home after a short illness Nov. 19, 2002, while surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 8, 1916 in Hiawatha, to Demetrios “James” and Eleni “Helen” Papoulas Koulouris. Married James John Diamanti July 30, 1939 in Price. He died April 2, 1987.
She was a faithful member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Philoptochos Society.
Mary was devoted to her family and friends and filled her life with cooking and sharing her love and friendship with those around her.
Survived by son, James J. (Kathy) Diamanti Jr., Wellington; daughter, Kathy Diamanti, Salt Lake City; sister, Penelope “Poppy” Koulouris, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren, Dionne (Brent) Oman, Derek Diamanti, Bill, Dustin and Janessa Warner; two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Jordyn Oman, all of Price; and many loving relatives and dear friends. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Nick and Peter Koulouris; and an infant sister.
Funeral service Saturday, Nov. 23, Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion service Friday evening, Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, PO Box 688, Price, UT 84501.

Amanda Ann Jensen


CASTLE DALE – Amanda Ann Jensen, age 25, passed away Nov. 14, 2002 in Castle Dale. She was born Apr. 27, 1977 in Salt Lake City to Ernest John and Elnora Ann Kleven Jensen.
Amanda loved spending time with her little niece, Allison, and her nephews Austin and Casey. She liked all kinds of music (except country and western), and she had a soft spot in her heart for all kinds of animals, especially her loving companion Bandit, her chihuahua, and dolphins and whales. She felt a special love for children and those who had trials and difficulties in their lives. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Ernie and Ellie Jensen of Castle Dale; and four brothers, Scott and Samantha Jensen of Castle Dale, Brett and Lori Jensen of Salt Lake City, Allen and Stacie Jensen of Castle Dale and Corey and Erica Jensen of Ferron. Grandparents; John and Beverly Jensen of Castle Dale and Evelyn Kleven of Kearns. Preceded in death by her Grandpa Kleven.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Castle Dale Stake Center. Friends called on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale and one hour prior to services at the church.

Sarah Minnie Newman Brinkman


SALT LAKE-Sarah Minnie Newman Brinkman, loving mother and grandmother, 96, passed away Nov. 19. She was born Apr. 12, 1906 in Milo, Idaho to Ellen Josephine Nelson and Joseph Alma Newman. Married Joseph John Brinkman on Aug. 6, 1927. She was a member of the LDS church.
Survived by son Richard Brinkman, Salt Lake City; daughter Irene (Reed) Halliday, Huntington; daughter-in-law Karma Brinkman, Idaho; sister Esther Neilson, Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Curtis (Annette) Brinkman, Pleasant Grove, Joseph (Cindy) Owen, Roy, Earlene (Keven) Mason, Huntington, Katherine (Rogers) Smith, Mesa, Ariz., Peggy Owen, Ellen (Craig) Garret, of California., Christine (Nick) Manning, Orangeville, Gary Owen, Seattle, Wash., Warren (Lynnie) Owen, Wellington, Jerry Owen, St. George, and Michael (Karina) Owen, Califiornia; 29 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Raymond Faye Brinkman, infant son Keith Allen Brinkman, grandson Gregg Brinkman, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday Nov. 25 at Deseret Mortuary in Salt Lake City. Committal service, Rose Hill Cemetery, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Clifton Hadden


WELLINGTON – Clifton J. Hadden, age 73, passed away Nov. 24, 2002 in Price.
Born Feb. 9, 1929 in Green River to Alfred and Anna Louise Bevins Hadden. Married Diantha Bird Dec. 18, 1948 in Price.
He served in WWII and in Korea and was a member of the American Legion. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and caring for his yard but most of all spending time with his family.
Clifton is survived by wife, Diantha, Wellington; children, Clea Anderson, Price; Bert and Marilyn Hadden, Wellington; Earl and Betsy Hadden, Laverkin; Lyle and Shanna Hadden, Wellington; Becky and Jerry Campbell, Wellington; Dean and Shauna Hadden, Wellington; Jackie and Janelle Hadden, also of Wellington; 28 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Eugene, Owen and Gayle Hadden; sisters, LaVea Fuquay and Leona Rae Potter. Preceded in death by grandson, T.J. Anderson; great-grandson, Dakota Lundsford; and one brother.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 29, 11 a.m., in the Wellington LDS Stake Center. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the evening viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial, Wellington City Cemetery.

Michael Giordano


MAPLETON – Michael Angelo Giordano, age 30, passed away Nov. 23, 2002 in Helper.
He was born May 2, 1972 in Price, to Daniel “Naz” and Betty Lou Anderson Giordano.
Member of the Catholic Church. Longtime resident of Helper and Mapleton. A loving grandson who devoted his life to taking care of his grandmothers Giordano and Anderson. He will be dearly missed.
Survived by father, Daniel “Naz” Giordano, Mapleton; and a caring family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by mother, Betty Giordano.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Vigil service Tuesday evening, 7 p.m., at the church in Helper. Family will be at the church Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.

HUNTINGTON/Idaho – Mary Bea Grange, age 71, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away Nov. 20, 2002 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born Jan. 4, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, to Durane and Erna Emilie Petersen Green Jones. Married Ferris Ralph Grange in 1948 in Huntington. He died in 1972. Married Joseph Glen Grange in the Jordan River LDS Temple March 9, 1996 and moved to Shelley where she lived for the past seven years.
Mary attended school in Emery County. Mary worked for the Emery School District as a food service director. Raised her family in Huntington. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mary had a loving, gentle and kind nature. She was very helpful and nurturing of every member of her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Reta Jensen


EMERY – Loving mother, grandmother Reta Robinson Jensen, 87, went home to be with her husband Nov. 21, 2002.
She was born Oct. 1, 1915 in Loa, to Irwin Garfield and Clara Elizabeth Morrell Robinson. Married Niels Lloyd Jensen Dec. 22, 1934. They were sealed Feb. 14, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1998.
She grew up in Loa and at Paradise Ranch. She attended school in Loa, Emery and Park City. Reta spent her life working along side her husband farming and ranching and enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. Each family member has a quilt made with loving, skilled hands. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Reta is survived by four sons, Arden (Deloris), Delbert (Sharon) and Greg (Christine) all of Emery, Errol (Grace) of Durango, Colo.; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Etta Forsyth. Preceded in death by husband; three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 25, at the Emery LDS Chapel. Burial, Emery Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

George Wiggins


ELMO – George Thomas Wiggins, 78, passed away Nov. 23, 2002 surrounded by his wonderful wife and loving children at his home in Elmo.
George was born in Keyes, Okla. Jan. 31, 1924 to Frank Byers and Bonnie Lee Hoff Wiggins. He married Margaret Reynolds Jan. 21, 1946 in Vernal. They spent 57 happy years together.
He retired after 30 years of service from Tooele Army Depot and was a veteran of WWII. George loved to camp, fish and hunt and enjoyed spending time with his family on their property in Indian Canyon.
He is survived by wife; children, Doris (Richard) McDonald, Taylorsville; Connie (Robert) Vigil, West Jordan; Ron (Audrey) Wiggins, Sheridan, Wyo.; Floyd (Lois) Wiggins, Murray; Donald Wiggins and Lynnette (Gary) Simpson, all of Alaska; Lloyd and Bonnie Wiggins, Moab; 31 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward; sisters, Opal Richardson; Jane Beck and Judy Barnett. George was a wonderful influence on his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 11 a.m., at Fausett Mortuary in Price.
