The Emery County Progress is requesting everyone who has brought in photos to be used in the newspaper to pick up those photos. The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
Bookcliff Muzzleloaders
Bookcliff Muzzleloaders will hold their annual meat shoot on Dec. 7 at the Pinnacle Peak range in Price at 10 a.m. Shooters fee. Patched round ball and open sights. First, second and third place on each target. Women’s and kid’s target. Call Kim Hansen at 687-9507 for more information.
Lights On at Zions Bank
Huntington Elementary students will decorate a tree inside Zion’s Banks Huntington office on Dec. 4. At 4:30 p.m. students, teachers, parents and bank employees will gather for the Lights On ceremony. There will be refreshments, carols, and Santa.
Cowboy Poetry From the San Rafael
The book, “Cowboy Poetry From the San Rafael” will be available at the Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale beginning the first week of December. This book contains poetry and illustrations from local residents, as well as photographs and tidbits of information about the San Rafael. Pioneer Theatre Company Presents Peter Pan
Pioneer Theatre Company presents the high flying family musical Peter Pan, with book by James M. Barrie, Lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, music by Mark Charlap, additional music by Jule Styne and additional lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Cleveland’s Christmas Eve
Cleveland Town will hold its annual Christmas Eve Party on Dec. 24 at the Town Hall starting at 6 p.m. As always, there will be a short program, games, prizes and songs. Santa will stop for the kids.
Cleveland Community Christmas
The Cleveland Community Christmas Party will be Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. At 5 p.m. there will be caroling and hay rides, meet at Town Hall; 5:30 p.m. will be the lighting of the Christmas tree by the Mayor; 5:45 p.m. will be the Christmas party and dinner at the Cleveland church. There is a rumor that Santa Claus may show up.

Deadline for Livestock Compensation Program
The deadline for applications under LCP is close of business Dec. 13. This program provides assistance to certain livestock producers experiencing severe 2001-2002 crop year feed and pasture losses because of drought. Deadline for Visual Arts Fellowship Applications
Utah Arts Council announcedthe deadline for the 2003 Visual Arts Fellowship as Feb. 3, 2003. The program awards 2-$5,000 fellowships annually to help further the development of Utah’s visual artists. They are awarded in areas of crafts, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculture as well as performance and conceptual art. Quivira Coalition and Utah Range Coalition: Survival Tools for Today’s Ranch
A workshop on “Innovative Ideas for Ranching in the 21st Century” will be held Dec. 13 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Red Cliffs Lodge, in Moab. They will present new ideas in livestock grazing, land management, and low stress livestock handling. Come hear about these innovative ideas from people who practice them.
