Artists Of Utah 35×35 Exhibition
The Artists of Utah present 35×35, an exhibition of styles and media from 35 young Utah artists. The exhibition will run from Dec. 20, to Jan. 11, 2003 at the Artspace Forum Gallery, 511 West 200 South in Salt Lake. Entry is free.
Veterans, Widows and Dependents
A field representative from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department Service Office will be in your area to assist you in understanding and applying for VA benefits, preparing and documenting application for compensation, pension, hospitalization and other benefits. Emery County Archery League
Emery County Recreation will be conducting registration for a county wide archery league to run January through April. Registration is Jan. 2, 2003 at the Rec. International Amateur Piano Competition
Competition will be held June 16-21, 2003 at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square with the Bachauer International Piano Festival preceding it June 7-14. Domestic Challenge!
The Domestic Challenge is a 90-day competition geared to helping homemakers across the state of Utah organize their responsibilities. Participants implement the 10 strategies for 90 days, taking before and after pictures and writing before and after essays. There will be five categories raging from already organized to desperately disorganized and a winner will be selected from each category. There wil be no cost involved or obligations of any kind. Canyon View Parent/Teacher Conference

Utah’s Hogle Zoo’s Call for the “Wild”
Hogle Zoo’s tenth annual art show “World of the Wild” is scheduled to take place Feb. 1-April 13, 2003. Wilderness First Responder Course
Canyonlands Field Institute is offering a Wilderness Advanced First Aid course Feb. 13-17, 2003 in Moab. The five day course focuses on stabilization, treatment and evacuation guidelines of patients in backcountry environments and includes CPR training. Emerson Offers Full Scholarships to Prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp
Top high school musicians are invited to apply for an Emerson Scholarship Award to the world-famous Interlochen Arts Camp in northern Michigan. The scholarship provides full tuition, private lessons, and room and board for the eight week summer program. Dates are Jun. 15-Aug. 11, 2003. Board of Oil, Gas and Mining Seeking Environmental Award Nominations

Deadline for Visual Arts Fellowship Applications
Utah Arts Council announced the deadline for the 2003 Visual Arts Fellowship as Feb. 3, 2003. The program awards 2-$5,000 fellowships annually to help further the development of Utah’s visual artists. They are awarded in areas of crafts, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculture as well as performance and conceptual art. New Snow College and SUU Program Guarantees Transfer of Credits
Snow College and Southern Utah University have set into action the Dual Admission/Intent-To-Transfer Program. This program guarantees transfer of credits from Snow to SUU. Successful completion of Snow’s general education requirements will fulfill SUU’s general requirements, if students receive a passing grade. Participating students will also have access to services, activities and advisement from the University while still attending Snow. They will also be eligible to participate in sporting events, student activities and cultural events as any regular SUU student is, immediately.
