| Students let go of their balloons. |
Cleveland Elementary Students participated in a balloon launch in memory of Sid Lancaster their principal who recently passed away. The student council read selected poems and stories which the students had written honoring Mr. Lancaster. The students spoke of their memories of Mr. L. and how he was always kind to them and always remembered their names. The children told how they had never heard Mr. L. ever raise his voice to anyone or get mad at them.
The students each held a balloon and at the appointed time they let go of their balloon and the entire studentbody watched as the balloons lifted into the blue sky in memory of Mr. L. Sue Lancaster and her family were also present for the launch.
