Mary Lange
HELPER-Mary Pessetto Lange, age 92, passed away May 6, 2003 in her home.
Born Dec. 26, 1910 in Heiner, to Paul and Barbara Carrera Pessetto. Married Leonard Lange Oct. 15, 1940 in Castle Dale. He died Aug. 31, 1983.
Mary was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and life long resident of Carbon County. Member of Stella D’America Lodge 77, where she was one of two original charter members of Sorella D’America Lodge which was organized in 1934.
She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many long time friends and dear neighbors. Preceded in death by parents; three brothers, Michael, John and Pete Pessetto; and two sisters, Mary Pessetto and Minnie Carimati.
Funeral service was May 10, interment in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
Hudo Herrera
PRICE-Arthur D. “Tudo” Herrera, age 41, passed away May 6, 2003 in Price. Born Jan. 6, 1962 in Price to Adolfo “Adolph” L. and Josephine Martinez Herrera. Member of the Catholic Church. Lifelong resident of Carbon County and graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1980. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and all the great outoors had to offer. “Tudo” loved having coffee with his mom every morning and playing with all of the kids. He enjoyed wood working and was everyone’s handyman. “Tudo” had a great sense of humor and he especially loved to tease anyone he could.
Survived by his mother, Josephine Herrera, three brothers and four sisters, Ernie Herrera, Lucy, (Bill) Barnes, Sam (Penny) Trujillo, Irene (Ernesto) Ramirez, Benny (Christina) Herrera, all of Price; Tina (Kenny) Doporto, Gina (Rudy) Sanchez, both of Salt Lake City; and many loving nieces and longtime friends.
Preceded in death by his father, and brother, Richard Ray Herrera. Funeral Mass was held on May 12 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service was held on Sunday evening at the Mitchell Funeral Home. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
Shelly Martinez
HELPER-Our loving mother, daughter and dear friend, Shelly Reid Martinez, age 44 passed away May 10, 2003 at her home.
She was born April 8, 1959 in Brigham City to Bryan and Marilyn Isaacson Reid. Married Martin L. Martinez Dec. 15, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nev., later divorced. Shelly had a great love for family and four grandchildren.
Survived by two daughters, NyCole (Brad) Shaw, Price; Mandy Martinez and Jared Gallegos, Price; father, Bryan (Kathy) Reid, Jerome, Idaho; step-daughter, TyAnn (Ken) Keller, Magna; grandchildren, Christopher, MiRanda and Inez; four brothers and two sisters. Preceded in death by her mother, and brother John K. Reid.
Funeral service, May 14, at 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s, Wednesday, one hour prior to service.
Bill Zele
PRICE- William (Bill) Zele, age 75, passed away May 11, 2003 at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1927 in Mohrland to Frank and Rose Nolan Zele. Married Beverly Jones, later divorced. Member of the Catholic Church. Served U.S. Army during World II. Bill was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America District #22. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and playing cards with his family. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving family and a community of friends.
Survived by two daughters and two sons, Deb (Frenchie) Boutchyard, Draper; Pamela (Max) Moody, Salt Lake City; Bart (Cori) Zele, Naturita, Colo; Brett (Barbara) Zele, Durango, Colo; sister, Rose ( Dallas) Crandall, Helper; 10 loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, daughter, Lacie Dawn Zele; one sister and four brothers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Angel Rose Zele for her kind and loving care shown to grandpa during his illness. Funeral Mass will be held on May 14 at 11 a.m.; Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday one hour prior to mass. Jeral D. Adair
WELLINGTON-Jeral D. Adair, age 65, died at home May 9, 2003, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 15, 1937, to Arnie C. and Mary Taylor Adair in Garfield County, Colo.
Jeral served in the U.S. Army’s 11th Airborne Division as a paratrooper in the 1955-58 Korean conflict. He also worked as a diesel mechanic at Tower Resources coal mine (after Andalex). Jeral met the love of his life Vivian Colleen Bentley Adair and they were married on June 17, 1957.
His hobbies were to work and provide for his family. He was a jack of all trades and was able to fix everything, he said, “but I can’t fix this.” Jeral raised quarter horses, enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the yard and he especially loved playing with his grandchildren. He was part of the Wellington Mountaineers and Blazing Saddle Riding clubs. He was owner/operator of a heavy equipment business for five years in California.
Jeral is survived by his wife Vivian Colleen Adair, Wellington; children; Jeral David and Kathy Adair of Wellington, Christie Dawn and Jim Giles of Nephi, Darla Jean Miller of Wellington, Emmett Clarence Adair of Wellington, Jeri Lynn and Raymond Olsen of Wellington, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Three sisters, Margurete “Molly” Edwards of Apache Jct., Ariz. Shirely and Ken Millers of Price, Carol and Leon Rich of Wellington, three brothers, Jim and Charlene “Windy” Winn of Apache Jct., Ariz. Arnold and Jackie Adair of Wellington, , Howard and Ruth Adair of Rolla, Mo. and his very special dog, Teddy, who is now lonesome for his best friend.

Graveside services will be held May 14 at the Wellington City Cemetery at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service at Fausett Mortuary in Price.
Eric David Lemmon
EMERY-Our beloved buddy, Eric David Lemmon, age 10, returned to Heavenly Father and his family there on May 7, 2003 following a horse accident. He was born in Layton to David Charles and Marylou Hooper Lemmon Sept. 23, 1992. He was a student at Ferron Elementary in the fourth grade. He loved baseball, art and his friends, teachers, and principal. Eric also loved robots, Lego’s and was curious about how everything worked. He loved his animals and making other people feel comfort and loved. He was recently baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the ward and participating in activities.
Eric is survived by his parents David and Marylou of Emery. Also his sister Angela and brothers Cody and Jason, all of Emery; a grandmother Martha Lemmon and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He overcame many of life’s challenges and has begun his mission with the Lord. We will miss him and are so thankful for all the love and support we have been given by friends, school members and especially the doctors and staff at Primary Childrens Hospital.
Friends may call for a visitation at the Emery Ward Chapel, May 10 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Funeral services will then be held at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Emery Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale.
Sara Trejo
PRICE-Sahara “Sara” Trejo, age 75 died May 5, 2003 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
Born Feb. 2, 1928 in Hejido Hernandez Chihuahua, Mexico to Leonardo and Marfila Trevizo Trejo. Married Guadalupe Molinar in 1948 in Hejido Hernandez Chihuahua, Mexico. He later died.
Sara was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God Church where she had a deep love for her God, church, and she especially loved praying and singing for her church. Sara lived a very simple life and the most important thing was her family and friends. She loved to visit her home country of Mexico and will be dearly missed by all.
Survived by children, Guadalupe (Marcella) Molinar, Helper; Oscar (Ruby) Molinar, Price; Elva Molinar, Price; Sijifredo Molinar, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; Jerardo Molinar, Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; Ruby (Gilbert) Sanchez, Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; five brothers and four sisters, Lorenzo (Romana) Trejo, Nuevo Casas Grandes Chihuahua, Mexico; Baltazar (Leonila) Trejo, Orem; Reidesel (Charlotte) Trejo, Lewistown, Mont.; Maria (Fernando) Revera, El Paso, Texas; Antonia (Arturo) Miramontes, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Romelia Molinar; five sisters, Carmen Trejo, Manuela Trejo, Cruz Trejo, Maruca Trejo, Aurora Trejo; three brothers, Isidoro Trejo, Jose Trejo and Heriberto Trejo.
Funeral services were held May 10. Interment in the Price City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
