Debbie DiCaro
PRICE – A special person is no longer in pain. Debra Marie Mayer Vea, age 33, passed away at the University of Utah Hospital in the early morning hours of May 14, 2003, with her mom and dad by her side.
She was born Aug. 23, 1969 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Mike and Sandra Myers Mayer.
Debbie moved to Price in 1984, graduated from Carbon High School in 1987 and later attended the College of Eastern Utah. “Angel” enjoyed her family first and she also liked sharing time with her friends, reading and cooking.
Debbie leaves behind the light of her life, her son, Paul Joseph, “P.J.” Vea; husband, Benjamin DiCaro, who always called her “Angel”; mother and father, Sandi and Bill Snyder; father and stepmother, Mike and Annie Mayer; brother, Mike (Edye) Mayer; stepsisters, Corinne (Larry) Evans, Allie (Scott) Bradley, Joni (Kory) Moosman; stepbrother, Chan (Torie) Snyder and their families; Ben’s parents, Mario and Marta DiCaro; Ben’s daughters, Sophia DiCaro and Maria (Brue) Baker and their son, Raiden; P.J.’s father, Paul Vea, and their extended family. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents; and granddaughter, Kimiko Baker.
Funeral Mass was held May 17, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 North Carbon Ave., Price. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday and and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Wellington City Cemetery.
Jeanette Evans
WELLINGTON – Jeanette Pauline Viens Evans, age 64, silently slipped away peacefully under the prayers of her husband and children May 18, 2003 in Salt Lake City.
She was born Aug. 30, 1938 in Los Angeles, Calif., to William J. and Louise Rohr Viens. Jeanette married Marvin Eugene Evans Dec. 7, 1957 in San Diego, Calif. and was a wonderful loving mother to Debbie, Robert and Loretta.
Mom enjoyed history, dancing, photography, singing and travel. Because of her love to share her knowledge of history and rock art, she started her own tour business, “Reflections of the Ancients”, giving tours in Nine-Mile Canyon and the San Rafael Swell. She really loved people and building new relationships, especially with her new found brother, Art, and his family. She was an active member of the Catholic Church, the Archeology Society, Carbon County Travel Council and the Nine-Mile Coalition. She had a very giving nature and was loved by many. Jeanette will always be remembered for her intelligence, witty and fun loving personality.
Survived by husband, Marvin Evans, Wellington; children, Debbie (Rick) Laughlin, Salt Lake; Robert (Carol) Evans, Helper; Loretta Van Wagner, Sandy; brother, Arthur (Margaret) Edwards, Grand Junction, Colo.; and seven wonderful grandchildren. Preceded in death by infant son, Daniel; parents; one sister and two brothers.

Ralph Fossat Sr.
PRICE-Ralph Fossat Sr. age 84, passed away at his home in Price on May 19, 2003.
He was born Aug. 21, 1918 in Helper, to Louis and Catherine Castagna Fossat. He married Lois Coleen Draper on Jan. 24, 1944 in Helper and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Dad loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He couldn’t go for a ride without taking his chainsaw to cut wood. He also enjoyed baking but most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them. He was so proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Retired from UMWA Local 9958- Kaiser Steel.
He is survived by his wife Lois of Price, children: Ron (Irene) Fossat of Twin Falls, Idaho., Lianne (Michael) Milovich of Price, Ray Louis (Kathy) Fossat of Cedar City, daughter-in-law, Rose Fossat of Price. Also 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and two brothers, Albert and William Fossat of Helper. He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Eugene Fossat and an infant daughter, Ava Dawn Fossat, two infant great-grandsons. Also five brothers: Ernest, Mike, Victor, Alfred and Joseph Fossat and two sisters: Irene Hislop and Pauline Tsangaris.
Friends may call for a visitation at the Fausett Mortuary in Price Tue. May 20, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. Graveside services will be held at the Castle Dale City Cemetery on Wed. May 21, 2003 at 1 p.m. with interment to follow.
Helen Elaine Manley
FERRON-Helen Elaine Manley, age 59, passed away May 14, 2003 at home, under the care of her daughter and son. She was born Feb. 1, 1944 in Lincoln, Neb. to Harvey and Fern Rogers. She married Ben Manley Dec. 3, 1990 in Rawlins, Wyo.
She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and most of all, being around her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Ben of Wyoming and children; Tony Nolasco, Mike and Monica Nolasco and Rich Manley, all of Wyoming, Walter and Melissa Nolasco of Arizona, Molina and Dewey Lee of Ferron, and 12 grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Also survived by brother Harvey Rogers Jr., and sisters Maureen Williams and Dorothy Cranmer and a special aunt Gladys Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Brandon Lee.
Memorial services will be held at the Rawlins, Wyo. cemetery May 23 at 2 p.m.
