Ferron and Castle Dale Baptist Youth took time during their summer vacation to study scriptures, sing songs, play games and enrich their spiritual side during vacation bible school. The Castle Dale theme was, “Under the Sea,” and they met in the recreation center. The Ferron youth theme was centered around the military. Youth leaders ages 14-18 years old from San Francisco came to Ferron to help with the bible school. Pastor Shaun Allen teaches in San Francisco and his youth leaders work on projects all year long to share with the children who come to bible school.
The youth leaders learn leadership skills and they learn to do puppet shows to help teach biblical truths to the youngsters. The youth leaders are also planning a mission trip to Brazil. They are involved with schools where they do dramas and help youngsters learn English. The youth leaders stayed at the Baptist Ranch during their visit to Emery County and were involved in activities and service work there. Pastor Allen said it is a lot of fun and a lot of work to bring vacation bible school to the children.
