The Arapeen ATV Jamboree kicks off its first year in existence with this ride on Singleton Flat. |
The Arapeen Trail ATV Jamboree was held in Ferron Aug. 13-16. SouthEastern Utah Off Highway Vehicle Club provided guides for the rides. Riders from across the state of Utah and from Arizona enjoyed four different trails in the Arapeen Trail System.
Reeder Canyon trail was the introductory ride on Wednesday. On Thursday, the guests rode McEwan Flat and on Friday, they rode Fix-It Pass on the San Rafael Swell. Saturday’s ride was the Hole Trail out of Emery.
The Jamboree was capped off with a farewell dinner at Millsite Restaurant at which Mark H. Williams treated the guests to an Emery County lamb fry.
High Velocity Sports in Huntington enabled the club to have an Arctic Cat 4-wheeler to be raffled off. The winner of the machine was Art Summers from Springville.
Plans are being made for the jamboree to be held again next year in September.
