Tube’n Train
The Heber Valley Railroad is taking passengers to the station stop at Soldier Hollow. From ther, passengers take a 1,000 foot tubing hill. Emergency Preparedness Fair
Do you know what to do in case of an earthquake? How close does an earthquake need to get before you think about being prepared? Do you realize that there were three earthquakes within 100 miles of our homes in December of 2003? The “Earthquake Lady” will be at the Emergency Preparedness Fair Jan. 30. Southwest Grassfed Livestock Alliance
The first annual meeting of the Southwest Grassfed Livestock Alliance will be held Jan. 15, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. in the New Mexico Ballroom at the Albuquerque Hilton, 1901 University Drive, NE, Albuquerque, NM. This meeting is one of many to be held during the Quivira Coalition’s Third Annual Coalition Conference to be held Jan. 15-17, 2004.
Football Camp
The Outlawz open tryout and mini camp will be Jan. 15, 7-9 p.m., Jan. 16, 4-9 p.m., and Jan. 17 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the BCAC on the College of Eastern Utah campus. All current and prospective players must be there in order to be on team. Call JP at 687-2570 for more information.
Eyeglasses for Lions Club
The Huntington Lions Club is gathering used eyeglasses to be distributed to needy people in Third World countries. There is a special need for childrens’ glasses. For more information, contact Judy Lange at 687-5349.
Rabies Clinic
Cleveland Town will sponsor a rabies clinic on Jan. 24, 2004 from 1-3 p.m. at the Cleveland Cemetery storage building, 200 North 600 East. All dogs are required to have a current rabies shot before they can be licensed for the new year.
New Exhibits at the Museum of Church History and Art
Four new exhibits have opened at the Museum of Church History and Art. They are Landscape and Life: The Rural Setting of the Latter-day Saint, Boyd K. Packer: the Lifework of an Amateur Artist, Music and the Spoken Word: Celebrating 75 Years of Mormon Tabernacle Choir Radio and You Have a Family Tree. VFW Assistance
A field service officer from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department Service Office will be at the Price Workforce Service Center from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2004 to assist in understanding and applying for rightful VA benefits.

H.E.A.T.
Need help with your heating bills? Get in touch with HEAT. Apply at Emery County Community Center, 40 South Center Street in Castle Dale. Applications will be taken from Nov. 3, 2003 to March 31, 2004. Proof of income, family size or disability will be required. Call 381-5410 for an appointment.

If you have suffered a stroke or been diagnosed with arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, a respiratory disorder, or any other condition which causes you to be unable to walk or self propel a manual wheelchair, you may be eliglible to receive a motorized wheelchair at no out of pocket expense. Salvation Army
Donations are needed from Emery County residents to the Emery Chapter of the Salvation Army which provides emergency assistance for the people of Emery County as well as people traveling through the area. Union Local 6363
Attention, union meeting for local 6363 will be held the third Wednesday of every month at the District 22 office in Price. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Attend if you want to receive 70 year anniversary cap.

Recreation Center Open Night
