Letter to the Editor: the Way DWR Treats Senior Citizens

By BRYANT G. NELSON Clawson

Dear Editor,
I think it’s a shame the way the DWR treats the senior citizens.
Why does our Division of Wildlife Resources treat Utah residents the way they do? I didn’t know that the DWR was supposed to make money such as a hunting tag lottery.
I have done comparisons from the surrounding states and their rates for senior citizens fishing license fees: Idaho-$4.50, Colorado-$10.25, Wyoming- $5, Nevada-$5 plus a trout stamp for $5 to total $10, New Mexico-$5, and Utah charges seniors $21.
I want to know why this state’s DWR is so unfair to seniors.
