Several members of the Studio Gym Spinners Gymnastics Tumbling Team, from LaRae’s Dance Studio Gym, participated in the State SUTA tumbling/trampoline competition held May 8 in Ephraim. The boys and girls level one teams each brought home first place team awards. The level five girls team place third and the level six team placed second.
In individual age and level competition include: level one, first place-Kaitlin Lefler, Kaylan Salisbury, Haylnn Fifer, Baylan Nelson and Kyleene Wright. Level one, second place-Wyatt Cox and Ashley Chidester. Level one, third place-Jax Kraync. Level one, fourth place-Jon Wright and Kenzie Kraync. Level one, fifth place-Megan Weaver and level one, seventh place was Kelly Kay.
Level two, second place-Shailee Stokes. Level four, first place-Lexy Cox and second place, Takayl Lambson. Level five, third place-Miranda Stokes, Ashlee Guymon and Tyler Tucker. Level five, fourth place-Jordan Mann, fifth place-Hailey Copinga and Kielie Ivie. Level five, seventh place-Kylie Salisbury and Gentry Noyes; eighth place-Trinidee Bell; ninth place-Ally Sorensen; and tenth place-McKenzie Juggert and Taycee Salisbury.
Level six winner were: first place-Kodi Caldwell, second place-Sidnee Conder and MaKayla Copinga; sixth place-Kaitlyn Thompson. Level seven, second place-Adrienne Jones and Lisa Sorensen. Level eight, Kaitlyn Caldwell placed third.
There were eight clubs and over 200 competitors, participating at the meet, from Orem, Provo, Springville, Delta, Price, Fillmore, Manti and Emery County. The Spinners did a great job representing Emery County at the State meet demonstrating tumbling skills, which include rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, handsprings, whips, tucks and pikes. They will all be performing at their Spring Show on May 22 at the Emery High School auditorium.
