Ivan Nielsen
Ivan Nielsen was a long time resident of Emery County. He farmed in Clawson for 50 years. He worked as a carpenter and was the tipple operator for American Coal. He served eight years on the Ferron City Council. He was Chairman of Peach Days Committee for four years and Chairman of South Emery Conservation for 10 years. He married LaVer Jensen and has four daughters, Helen, Ronda, Susan and Rebecca. They have 20 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren. He is still active and farming in Midway.
There will be an open house on June l9, from 2-6 p.m., 3200 River Road, Midway. All friends and family are welcome.
Lucille Judi
Lucille Judi will celebrate her 80th birthday on June 13. She was born to James Lyman and Ruth Hansen Oviatt on June 13, 1924. She married Jack E. Judi on June 6, 1944. They are the parents of four children: Shaunna and Bruce Haslam, Vaughn O. and Marianne Judi, Becky Poglajen, and Terry Oviatt Judi. She is the grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. All friends and family are welcome to wish her a happy 80th birthday.
James Hammond
James Hammond will celebrate his 93rd birthday. He was born June 9, 1911 in Vernal to Bertram and Sarah Hammond. He retired from D&RG Railroad after 43 years, most of those as an engineer.
