The golf tournament held at Millsite Golf Course in conjunction with the Emery County Fair had a large turnout with 31 four-person teams competing in three divisions. The format for the tournament was a scramble.
Of the 21 teams that competed in the men’s division, first place honors went to three teams that each tied at 31 strokes. Team members were: Steve Gordon, Todd Huntington, Gary Bennett and Eric Madsen; Marv White, Clayton Ward, David Sebring and Rich Riggle; Matt Holt, Richard Holt, Derek Holt and Shane Burke.
In the couples division, five teams competed. First place honors went to Jeff Rice, Sherry Rice, Brittany Hemburg and Dustin Hemburg. The winning team won with 36 strokes.
First place in the family division was taken by Lond Wakefield, Greg Wakefield and Shelton Wakefield. The family division team scored 32 strokes.
“It was a beautiful day to golf and the turnout was great,” said Millsite golf pro Steve Burke.
