The Emery County Economic Development Council is hosting an Economic Summit for the citizens and business leaders of Emery County on Sept. 14, at the Museum of the San Rafael. It will begin with registration and breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Following breakfast, there will be a morning keynote presentation by Robert King, Interwest Mining’s Vice President of Mining and Fuel. After the morning keynote presentation, there will be six breakout sessions tailored to current topics of interest for Emery County business and community leaders.Breakout sessions will focus on agriculture, recreation and tourism, and customer service and marketing. A special focus of the summit is the What’s Swell with Emery County section that will highlight several of the innovative Emery County businesses that are competing in today’s world marketplace. Following the local business highlight session, there will be a luncheon for summit participants.
