SPRING GLEN-Annie Larine Johnson Monfredi, age 79, passed away Nov. 23, 2004.
She was born June 20, 1925 in Price to Samuel Bridge and Sarah Jane Reese Johnson. Married Lawrence Monfredi June 1979 in Las Vegas, Nev. He died June 1995.
Member of the LDS Church.
Lifelong resident of Carbon County, where she will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Survived by brothers, Joseph Holman, Salt Lake City; John W. Holman, Sun City, Ariz.; Paul S. Johnson, Price; stepson, David (Ruth) Monfredi, Price; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held on Nov. 23, at noon at the Price City Cemetery.

Stella Liddiard


EAST CARBON-Stella Marjorie Mayer Liddiard, age 81, passed away Nov. 23, 2004. Born April 3, 1923 in Fountain Green to Charles Clifford and Ora Seely Mayer. Married James LaVar Liddiard on Feb. 10, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nev. He passed away Nov. 18, 1984.
Stella was a very talented pianist and started teaching piano lessons from the time she was 16 years old. She taught many children that grew up in East Carbon how to play the piano. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was the ward organist for most of her life and also served in many other ward callings. Stella was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was called upon to play the piano for most school and community events. The most important thing in Stella’s life was her family.
Survived by her children, James LaVar (Mary) Liddiard, Brenda L. (Stanley) Richardson, Mark Clifford (Rose) Liddiard, Marilyn (Jeffrey) Jensen, and Julie (William Jon) Elicher; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother Lamar Mayer; sisters, Geniel Gottschalk, Maurine Byers, and Elaine Cannon. Preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service Wed. Dec. 1, 2004, 10:30 a.m., East Carbon LDS Ward. Family will be at the church one hour prior to service. Friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment, 3:30 p.m. Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi.

Juana Zamudio


GREEN RIVER-Juanita “Juana” Batrez Zamudio, age 76, passed away Nov. 24, 2004 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. She was born July 19, 1928 in Tejamen Durango, Mexico to Manuel and Romana Heradez Batrez.
Married Zeferino Zamudio, September 1951 in Tejamen Durango, Mexico. Member of the Catholic Church. Longtime resident of Green River. Our beautiful angel has joined her heavenly father where she can watch over us.
Juanita left her warm smile, big heart, and loving hugs. She loved being with family and friends. Juanita will be deeply missed by all and her memories will live on through us.
Survived by her loving husband, Zeferino Zamudio, three sons, Manuel (Viviette) Zamudio, Price; Cipriano Zamudio, Price; Armando (Virginia) Zamudio, Green River; sisters, Victoria Telles; Frinciea Telles; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass Mon. Nov. 29, 2004 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Green River. Committal service, Elgin Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.

Donna Gerhardt


PRICE/CALIFORNIA-Donna Rae Faulkner Gerhardt, age 71, passed away Nov. 27, 2004 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
She was born April 9, 1933 in Portville, N. Y. to Roland B. and Rhea Chisholm Faulkner. Donna loved painting, crafts, cooking and most of all sharing these talents with her friends at the Senior Center in Price. She especially loved shopping and dressing up for the local parades. She loved gardening and could make anything grow. She was a wonderful caregiver. Donna loved the outdoors, riding horses, cooking and herding cattle for various ranchers in the area during the annual roundups.
Survived by: four daughters and one son, Sally Borzouei, Laguna Niguel, Calif.; Theresa Reid, Buena Park, Calif.; Robin Rangel, Murrieta, Calif.; Ed (Donna) Kesky, Las Alamitos, Calif.; LaDawn (Jessie) Napoles, Westminster, Calif.; mother, Rhea Faulkner, Scio, NY; brothers, Roland (Cindy) Faulkner, Prescott, Ariz.; David (Mary) Faulkner, Reginal (Judy) Faulkner, both of Scio, NY, Paul (Mary) Faulkner, Oak Harbor, Wash.; sister, Denise Hodgskins, S. C.; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Dec. 1, 2004 at noon at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. Family will be at Mitchell’s Wednesday one hour prior to service.

Coleen Janett Thompson


ORANGEVILLE-Coleen Janett Thompson, mother, sister, grandma and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on Nov. 25, 2004. She was born June 8, 1942 to Carl Hood and Dorothy Tidwell Hill. She married Clayton L. Thompson, later divorced.
Coleen was a member of the LDS Church and worked for Emery County and Coast to Coast. She loved to do crafts, crochet and was an avid collector of all sorts. She also loved animals.
Coleen had two children: Christine T. and Thomas Jensen of Huntington, and Carl and Marie Thompson of Tabiona; eight grandchildren Kim and T.C. of Price, Jason, Mark, Katlin, Colton, Brandon and Eric of Huntington. Also survived by brother Ronald Hill and his wife Geri of Murray. Preceded in death by mother and brothers Paul, Dave and William Hill.
Mom, you’ll be dearly missed but free now to roam.
At her request, no services will be held.

Kip Tidwell


SPRING GLEN-Bill J. Tidwell, Sr., age 61 passed away Nov. 27, 2004 in Price. Born April 26, 1943 in Salt Lake City to James L. and Madge McDonald Tidwell. Married Rosemarie Perla, March 31, 1962 in Dragerton.
Longtime resident of Carbon County where he owned and operated T&S Ornamental Railing. He loved to weld, build beautiful gates, rails or anything out of metal. He loved western books, movies or anything to do with the old west. Kip always said if he could have chosen a time in life to live, it would have been in the old western days and he sure would have been an outlaw. He loved Indian ruins and family trips to Mesa Verde. He loved to hunt, fish and go on camping trips with the whole family.
Survived by his wife, Rosemarie Tidwell, Spring Glen: three sons, Terry L. (Molly) Tidwell, Wellington; Bill J. (Cherrie) Tidwell, Jr., Grand Junction, Colo.; Jimmy J. (Sharon) Tidwell, Magna; sister, Judy L. (Albert) Thornton, West Valley City; brothers, Jimmy Mac Tidwell, West Valley City; Randy L. (Rolinda) Tidwell, Herriman; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in law, James J. (Dianne) Perla, Redding, Calif.; Margaret (Roger) Skaggs, Spring Glen, John A. (Pat) Perla, Hotchkiss, Colo.; Joseph M. (Beverly) Perla, Paonia, Colo.; Gladys Perla, Carbonville; 15 grandchildren, T.J. (Donna), Tanya, Jason, Amber, Jared, Kayce, Skyler, Dusty, Shelby, Bradon, Sheldon, Callie, Derek, Meranda and Alicia; six great-grandkids, McKayla, Tony, Dylan, Jesse, Jeremy and Terra; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Donna Marie Tidwell Vallejos, father-in-law and mother-in-law; special uncles, Med Allred, Gary McDonald; brother-in-law, Lee Thornton; nephew, Matthew Thornton and sister-in-law, Joan Tidwell.
Funeral service, Thurs. Dec. 2, 2004, noon, Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Wednesday evening form 7-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt View Cemetery.
