The new classroom was donated by the Emery County School District.

When the Green River Community Center needed more space for preschoolers, they approached the Emery County School District for help. Christine Monroe, director at the center, was at a school board meeting recently to express her appreciation to the district for the donation of a portable classroom that was no longer being utilized by the district.
Monroe explained that with the high number of preschool children registered at the center, the classroom will be a welcome addition to the services that Green River Community Center offers to the children of that city. She also explained that the transportation costs involved in moving the classroom from San Rafael Junior High School in Ferron to the Green River site will be paid for by the Utah Education Network and the Rural Childhood Development Agency in Wellington.
Following the transportation, which was completed just prior to Christmas, the unit will be set up and equipped to provide a computer classroom facility.
