Crystal Bradley
WELLINGTON-Crystal Marie Bradley, age 27, passed away April 30, 2005.
She was born Dec. 2, 1977 in Green Bay, Wis. to Daniel and Joyce Jefrey Carpenter. She married Dale Bradley Jr. on May 31, 1997 in Green River.
Crystal loved being around and caring for children and animals. She enjoyed life and brought joy to those around her.
Crystal is survived by her husband, Dale, Jr.; children, Kristofer, Kendralynn, Dalton and Meghan, all of Wellington; father and stepmother, Dan and Shari Carpenter of DePere, Wis.; mother Joyce Wilson of Green River; brother, Justin Carpenter of Price; sisters, Ashley Katrina Gogos of Green River and Shana of DePere, Wis.; and other extended family members. She left behind grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Crystal has a very large and loving family and she is going to be really missed.
Funeral services were Sat., May 7, at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center. Burial in the Wellington Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Margie Rasmussen
“Gone dancing with Daddy”
1920-2005
FERRON-Margie Rasmussen, 84, died May 8, 2005 in the Central Valley Medical Center, Nephi, as a result of natural causes. Born Nov. 8, 1920 in Ferron to Deloss and Addie Thompson Ralphs. Married Neal Rasmussen May 13, 1940 in Castle Dale.
She loved her family dearly. She greatly enjoyed the years she spent as beautification chairman of Ferron. Special thanks to Heritage Care and Rehab in Nephi, Emery County Care and Rehab in Ferron and Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi for their loving and caring treatment of our mother these past years.
Margie is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Walt) Freeman of Ferron and Sharon (Tom) Barney of Nephi; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; brother Lee Ralphs of American Fork. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Varian Ralphs and one great grandson.
Funeral service will be held Fri., May 13, at Noon in the Ferron Blue Hills LDS Chapel (old Ferron LDS Chapel). Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery under the direction of the Fausett Mortuary.

Helen Nelson
PRICE – Helen Virginia Lee Nelson, age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 1, 2005.
She was born Jan. 29, 1922 in Price to J. Bracken Lee and Nellie Pace. Married Harold Andrew Nelson on Aug. 1, 1943 in Bend, Ore. He died Sept. 4, 2003.
Lifelong resident of Carbon County. She graduated from Carbon High School and Carbon College. She was a dedicated employee of the College of Eastern Utah from 1959 to 1990 and she received the outstanding staff award in 1983 and the lifelong service award in 1990.
Helen was a staunch supporter of all activities at CEU and a member of the Beta Sorority. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and was an avid Jazz and Ute fan.
Helen’s greatest love was for her family and she enjoyed traveling.
Survived by two sons and two daughters, Gary (Gaylene) Nelson, Helper; Lee (Mary) Nelson, Salt Lake City; DeLynne Nelson, Price; Colleen (Stan) Pestotnik, Salt Lake City; two brothers and one sister, James (Evelyn) Lee, Joan (Lewis) Taylor, Richard (Marianne) Lee, all of Salt Lake City; and nine wonderful grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service Tues., May 10, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, where friends are welcome one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
Philip Winder
ELMO/SPRINGFIELD, MO.-Philip Winder, age 77, left this life on May 7, 2005, after a valiant fight with cancer. Phil was born March 6, 1928, in Desert Lake, Utah to Charles William and Caroline Elizabeth Winder. Phil married Doloris Pulsipher, later divorced. Married Viola G. Moody, Aug. 10, 1952.
Phil served in the army and worked for Dr. Pepper/Pepsi Cola for 26 years, but his love was farming, cows and working with his hands.
Phil is survived by his wife Viola of 52 years, four children: Harold (Marla) Moody, Springfield, Mo., Julia Elizabeth (Price) Vincent-Thrall, Price; Rayola Jean (Gary) Miller, Quincy, Ill.; Janice Lee (Elroy) Mortensen, Elmo; 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters and one brother, Ada Willson, Escalante; Zina Tabor, Price; La Van Dale (Lou) Winder, Bolivar, Mo.; sisters-in-law Jessie May Winder and Tilly Winder. Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and seven brothers: baby brother, Letha Swink, Virl Winder, Arnold Winder, Angus Winder, Mildred Jensen, Ugeen Winder, Harold Winder, Floyd Winder and baby sister, and two grandchildren.
Services will be Tues. May 10, at 11 a.m. at the Elmo LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held 45 minutes before the service. Burial in the Cleveland Cemetery.
Lynn P. Huntsman
PRICE-Lynn Pettit Huntsman, age 76, passed away May 6, 2005 in Salt Lake. He was born June 7, 1928 in Peerless, to John V. and Rhoda Pettit Huntsman.
Lynn was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School in 1946. Served two years in the US Army in Japan, and graduated from the University of Utah in 1953 with a B.S. in mining engineering.
On March 15, 1952, he married Valynn Christiansen in Las Vegas, Nev.; she died May 29, 1995.
Lynn spent his career in the mining industry in Utah, California and Wyoming and had been employed in jobs ranging from boney picker to general manager. He authored and presented technical papers at various mining conventions and seminars. He was a charter member of the Utah Coal Section of AIME and a lifetime member of the BPO Elks #1550 in Price.
Survived by one son and two daughters, Dale Keith (Melissa Holloway), Price; Holly (Jeff Wright), Salt Lake City; Nori (Hunter Finch), West Valley City.
Preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John Keith.
Many thanks to Chateau Brickyard staff and residents for treating him like family, and to Care Source Hospice staff for their compassionate attention in his final days.
Graveside service, Wed. May 11, at 1 p.m., Price City Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price Wednesday one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the College of Eastern Utah Scholarship Programs.
Ray Graham
SALT LAKE CITY/EAST CARBON-Raymond Lawrence Graham, age 35, passed away May 8, 2005 at his home in Salt Lake City.
He was born March 16, 1970 in Moab, to Ellis and Nadine Rhett Graham. Member of the Pentecostal church of God in East Carbon. Ray grew up in East Carbon and graduated from East Carbon High in 1988. He attended college at CEU, where he worked as a librarian and participated in many school plays at CEU.
He loved to sing, do art work, and especially work on his cartoons. His favorite cartoons were Star Trek and he will be dearly missed by his “Trekkies.” Ray enjoyed his work and he just returned from a convention in Denver, Colo. At the time of his death he was employed at Borg B Anderson in Salt Lake City. Ray had a zest for life, he had a warm and loving personality and made friends everywhere he went.
Survived by his mother, Nadine, East Carbon; father, Ellis Graham, Koosharem; brother, Perry (Rhea Dawn) Graham, Provo; aunt, Margaret Qualls, Clarksville, Ark.; uncle, James Rhett, Price.
Preceded in death by grandparents, James L. and DeeDie Rhett, and Iona and Paul Campbell; and uncle, Eddie Rhett.
Funeral service, Thurs. May 12, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Valley View Cemetery, Sunnyside.
Lynn Lyman Bennett
HELPER-Lynn Lyman Bennett, age 77, returned to his Father in Heaven May 6, 2005 in Price. He was born Oct. 1, 1927 in Oak city to Mark L. and Ethelyn Anderson Bennett. He married Edith Miriam Robison Sept. 8, 1952, in the Manti LDS Temple, later divorced. He then married Marianne Jewkes Anderson July 5, 1997 in the Manti LDS Temple.
As an active member of the LDS Church he served in numerous callings (including three bishoprics). He was especially fond of genealogy and family history, where he served for many years. He loved spending time with his family and loved the outdoors. He loved singing and listening to music.
Lynn graduated from Millard High School in 1945, after which he served a mission in the Eastern States, where he participated in the Hill Cumorah Pageant. He served honorably in the US Army during WWII, returning to Utah State University, graduating in agricultural engineering and was certified as a civil engineer. He worked 30 years for the US Forest Service.
Lynn is survived by his wife Marianne of Helper and children and their spouses: Robert and Joy Bennett, Linda and Delbert Beal, Barry and Christine Bennett, Harold and Barbara Bennett, Ann and Eugene Dearden, Laurel and Ralph Ramstetter, Wayne Anderson, Brent and Debbie Anderson, 28 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Stanley and Keith Bennett and sister Lois Jenson. Preceded in death by his son Russell and sister Carol Sanders.
Funeral services will be held Wed. May 11, at 1 p.m. in the Helper Stake Center. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Helper Mountain View Cemetery.
